When something is gorgeous but only apparently and digging deep is not all as good as it seems in Italy we say that “it is not all a bed of roses”, in the case of the Val delle Rose Morellino di Scansano DOCG instead it’s all a bed of roses!
Rose flowers also in the context in which I drank it , a farmhouse near the house where I had lunch a lot of times , and one of that time I chose this Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2009 Val Rose .
Flowers but more red fruits are those that characterize it from the very first contact.
Year 2009, so young but nevertheless highly structured, with a deep red color from purple highlights very pronounced.
And the purple matches well with the scent of wild cherry that rises from the glass, a lingering scent that only in the end gives way to the smell of flowers and herbs.
He is 13 , 5 degrees then enforces the Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2009 Val delle Rose even though the palate is velvety with a very complex structure in which the tannins are well balanced.
Long, lingering red fruit and ripe grapes. Combining it with red meat probably is demanding better if you give yourself to accompany him to the game , even in the sauce such as pappardelle with wild boar .
