Even if normally I prefer red wines with long aging , sometimes a brave young red at the table like Morellino di Scansano DOCG La Mora Cecchi is necessary. I tested for you on MoreWineBeer

I have to admit that in a certain sense , some wines are like people , they mature with age. Their character is blunt , at the opposite of young people are more vibrant but also less balanced , and it is this vibrancy that made me uncork the Morellino di Scansano DOCG La Mora Cecchi.

I want something easy to drink, but at the same time I don’t want the usual wine , I need something that has enough force to be able to withstand even a grilled steak .

I went into the cellar and see a couple of Morellini , of which the youngest is Morellino di Scansano DOCG La Mora Cecchi.

I’ll take it and uncork it , and just poured into the glass its color is light red surrounded by purple of young wines , and in fact this wine lends itself to be drunk within 3 years from the harvest .

Does not smell very much this Morellino di Scansano DOCG La Mora Cecchi , you can feel the violet and some red fruit , followed by the smell of the wine that although it may seem trivial is always a pleasure .

Simplicity, on the palate with a soft start and vinous that leads quickly to a final where the acidity typical of young wines emerges and makes it fresh and drinkable despite its 13 degrees of alcoholic content.

Pairing perfectly with dishes with sauce (preferably with a little tomato and more meat for avoiding to enhance the acidity of this wine ) in the same way is very suitable with the mixed grilled meat I paired with.

Chalice of average dimension and serving temperature on 16-18 degrees complete the picture , combined with the affordable price of Morellino di Scansano DOCG La Mora Cecchi , which in these historical period helps to keep some money on the pocket.
